Everyone who is climbing has been witnessed a sudden break of the holds during tightening or climbing. Usually there are two reasons for this breaking: the most common is because the holds were not properly hold on the wall and it touches the wall only on the part of its surface where they come into contact.

In that case the strong tightening can become a reason for breaking even a very big and strong hold. Another reason for sudden breaking is when the hold was used too much, it was tightened too much and especially if it falls from high. All this can make micro-cracks which are invisible and then even the normal weight can lead to breaking of such hold. When the hold breaks it falls apart into pieces which can seriously injure the people below.

The modern climbing walls are higher and it’s easy to imagine how dangerous is a piece that weighs about 1 kilo to fall from 10-12 meters on someone’s head. That’s why we created the technology in which if the hold breaks it does not fall from the wall! In fact the idea is simple, but very effective as most good ideas. We put a net of composite fibers, each one wrapped around the hole in the hold

So even if the hold breaks the pieces stay together hanging on the composite fibers. On the other side the composite fibers are wrapped around the screw that tightens the hold to the wall and in fact the broken hold cannot fall down except if the hold is not unscrewed.

Now there is no more risk for you to be hit by a falling hold if you use HRT holds.
